10:05 AM – Historical City Tour
During the first minutes, the tram moves slowly through traditional streets while the guide narrates facts, legends, and key moments in Cusco’s history. Several of the city’s most emblematic locations are visited and observed:
- Qoricancha: The most sacred temple of the Inca Empire, known as the religious and astronomical center of the Tahuantinsuyo.
- Sacsayhuamán: A monumental fortress with cyclopean architecture, visible from a panoramic perspective.
- Cusco Historical Mural: A contemporary artistic work offering a visual summary of the region’s history.
- Paccha: A cultural space that fuses tradition and symbolism through its fountains and modern sculptures.
- Historic Squares (San Francisco and Regocijo): Key colonial squares surrounded by old republican mansions and temples.
- San Cristóbal Viewpoint: Located in the upper part of the traditional neighborhood, offering the first panoramic views of the city.
- Qolqampata Palace: Ancient Inca residence of the Qhapac lineage, strategically situated in the elevated areas of the city.
During this section, visitors experience a true “journey through time,” passing through narrow streets, colonial balconies, temples, viewpoints, and traditional neighborhoods.
11:00 AM – Cristo Blanco Viewpoint (360° View)
Upon reaching this strategic point, the tram makes a brief stop so passengers can get off and enjoy a full panoramic view of Cusco. From this viewpoint, you can observe:
- The original layout of the city.
- The traditional neighborhoods surrounding the center.
